Interview with John Haugland of Ortega's Bistro
What is your current title at the restaurant? How long have you been there?
John Haugland, Co-owner. 5 years (since we opened)
What is one of your favorite meals at your restaurant?
A Pomegranate Margarita and Tableside guacamole to start. A whole grilled lobster Puerto Nuevo-style, with a fresh hot handmade flour tortilla, finished by coconut flan with a carmelized pineapple.
Why are you excited about participating in Dining Out for Life?
It's an incredible event. It feels great to be part of something larger than yourself in an effort to help others in need.
Will you be creating any special dishes for Dining Out for Life on Thursday, April 28?
We will have a lot of lobsters on hand as they tend to be very popular.
